Multiplying and dividing by multiples of 10 is something that will become natural. At Top Of The Class, we like to play with exaggerated forms of this technique, because the truth is, once you’ve picked it up, you can literally add and remove decimal points and zeros at will to discover any answer.
This exercise will mix some easy and automatic calculations, with some that will require you to write down, and manipulate your numbers.
Moving your decimal point –
To the left as the number gets smaller.
To the right until it disappears, as the number grows larger.
